My Baby Girl is One Now

I can not believe that my baby girl Lexi turned one year old yesterday. It makes me sad to see how fast it goes by! We had a busy day yesterday so I did not get to post a Happy Birthday message to her until now. There was a Fall Festival in Ormond Beach that we went to and had a blast. My mom joined us and also my cousin and her two kids. They had face painting, pumpkin painting, a bounce house, a big slide, a petting zoo, horse rides, and a firetruck along with a little bitty firetruck that talked! It was so cute and Bella kept hugging it and kissing it and she kept saying she wanted to hold the baby firetruck! Haha.

So after that we went to our Halloween party for the mom's group I am in, Palm Coast Sweet Peas. That was also a load of fun with games, tattoos, another bounce house, more pumkin painting, and of course CUPCAKES! Cause you know Bella was not eating any of the food once she spotted those! I was lucky there was some watermelon or the girl would not have eaten at all! So needless to say, both girls were tuckered out - and so was I - so here's a few pics better late than never! And since we had so much planned for yesterday we are having her birthday next weekend.

Best Friends

So the other night while after I put Lexi to bed, it was just Bella and I. Justin's new job keeps him away until about 730 or so most nights. I was warpping up a package to ship out the next day with scissors in hand when Bella decided she wanted to play ball. Only problem was she was about 2 feet away from me and did not tell me she wanted to play catch! She had a semi hard soccer ball and since she has pretty good aim it was headed right towards my head. Somehow I reacted in time and it just grazed me but I guess I still gasped because she came running over to me and hugged e from behind and told me "It's ok Mommy, don't cry. You're my best friend." I am not sure where she came up with that one but boy did it melt my heart!

How do you eat YOUR pasta?

Bella likes to put them on her fingers and count them as she eats them. Makes meal time learning time! lol

Lexi likes to swipe them from her sister. Hers must be better than mine!

Baby Bakers

Ok, so if you know anything about me, you know I LOVE Target. So one day I was going through the dollar aisles up front and found the cutest little chef hat and aprons and figured they would be perfect since Bella is just really starting to get into dress up at all.

For some reason, anytime I tell Bella I want to take her picture, she goes off and stands in front of this wall! Of course her attention was distracted because Dora was on in the background!

Even Lexi got in on the action.

"Let's Play" with Mema & Grandpa Rodney

There is a place close by called "Let's Play" that is like an indoor kiddie playground and the thing that makes it so cool is the "big kids" are allowed in too! So when Mema and Grandpa Rodney came for a visit it was the perfect place to go. This is a pic of the girls waiting for them to get to the house.

"Please Mommy can we go play now?"

Mema and Lexi had fun in the 2 and under gated off section complete with foam blocks and lots of fun little toddler toys.

And when Grandpa Rodney came in he found a big ring to stick on her head!

My Girls

I remember this day like it was yesterday! It was the first time bella figured out she had pockets and she could stick her hands and all kinds of other little goodies in there!

My Lexi girl is always so happy and smiley even when she is shrieking and breaking my eardrums, the girl has a smile on her face!

Cousins

Is this not the cutest face? She reminds me of a beaver in this pic! lol.

Later that same day we went to visit with our cousins, Megan and Joseph. They had the coolest little cart that the kids had a blast dragging each other around the house in. My cousin has the house I want to move into - it is so beautiful. I keep asking if we can move in with them and they keep laughing like I am joking.....

My Other "Babies"

These are my other babies - Lita and Roscoe. Lita is almost 8 years old and Roscoe is about 6 and a half. They are some adorable dogs even if I do wish my husband would let me shave Roscoe - he is one shedding freak. Drives me insane but gives me the motivation to clean my floors every day, otherwise they would be disgusting! And my girls sure do love them too.

This day I caught Lita laying in the dogs toy basket which is full of tennis balls, ropes, and bones. How comfortable is that? Guess it beats the tile floors though!

I want to know how to make my own and how to get others onto my page. I always see "add my button to your page" but I have no idea how......

Messy face and bath time

Bella with her Uncle Ronnie after getting into the chocolate pudding!

Love that face!

The girls first bath together. Lexi is not able to sit up on her own yet but I had found this bath seat at the best baby consignment store ever, Twinkle Twinkle! It does not fit our tub right though so I may have to take it back. She is just way too big for the newborn tub and hard and wiggly to bath with no support. But I love how she stares at her big sister Bella, with such admiration. Then again, she stares at the dogs the same way...

Sisters

Last night was a rare moment for my girls. Bella is usually too busy playing to pay much mind to her sister but last night she laid next to her and played together for a few minutes. When she is not too busy being a curious 2 year old, she is being a jealous 2 year old. Her latest trick is yelling and hollering EVERY time her sister cries. She has been doing this for about a month solid now and it is driving me bananas! Nothing we have tried to do to stop it has worked. We tried time out, we tried ignoring it, we tried yelling at her, we tried paying more attention to her. Any one else have any advise or ideas?!?!

Lexi is growing so fast! My chunk-a-munk is 5 months old and weighing in at 20 lbs! She is bigger than her sister was but I am sure she will slim down as she gets older. The Chadwick side of the family just has big babies - thanks for that honey! She is teething like a fiend too - no teeth yet but man can she shove both her hands in that mouth!! And lets not even talk about the amounts of drool!

We took the girls for pictures at Olan Mills the other day - Mema gets a discount since she works there. Bella was not giving up the smiles for anything. So when we got home I asked her to smile and here it is! Better late than never I guess!

Easter Bunny

Well I waited until the last minute to take the girls to the mall to get their pic taken with the Easter Bunny. Last year I waited in line for about an hour so my procrastination worked out well this year, no lines! And as I was dressing Bella I found the matching one for Lexi, I did not even know I had a matching dress for them, so it was cute to see them dressed alike. Bella did not do so well with Santa so I tried to prep her before we went. I told her we were going to go see the Easter Bunny and she would get to sit on his lap with Lexi. She said to me, Bella sit, Santa? Funny how her memory is getting longer! She waved to him and let me put her on his lap with no fuss but when he tried to tickle her to get her to smile she grabbed his hand and pushed it off her! We could not get her to smile, she was no longer happy with the bunny after that! Lexi could have cared less, she was smilin away! We'll see how they both do again next year! That is if I can afford the bunny, he was pretty freakin expensive!

Bella's big birthday bash

Bella on her beloved slide on the day of her big birthday bash at the playground. Unfortunately alot of her little friends were unable to make it to the party but we still had lots of family and a few friends that were able to join us in her big celebration. She absolutely loves this playground so it was the perfect place to have it.
